Alabama

The Alabama Polaroids were made primarily inside and around my home in Gulf Shores, where friends, lovers, and visitors pass through my space alongside a small circle of new local relationships. Working at close range, I use the Polaroid to register touch, care, and vulnerability within the everyday rhythms of domestic life, transforming an environment I often struggle with into a site of connection and creative survival. These images hold both tenderness and tension, reflecting how desire, dependence, and intimacy circulate through the politics of home, hospitality, and the Southern landscape I inhabit as a queer disabled man.
