Miami 2020

Fresh from Yale and determined not to freeze through another winter, I moved to Miami in 2020. I barely knew anyone, but through old friends, I started meeting new ones — and photographing some of the hottest men I’d ever seen, drenched in Miami heat. These Polaroids capture my first connections in the city: the beginnings of a community, the thrill of humid nights, and the first sparks of the work that would define my Miami years. Each one-of-one instant photo feels like a marker — proof of the freedom and heat I came searching for, and found.
